KPP01 theory module for motorcycle, car licences combined
Starting August 1, 2025, Malaysians applying for a motorcycle or car driving licence will only need to attend one KPP01 theory class. This major change was announced by Transport Minister Anthony Loke, aiming to simplify and streamline the entire driving licence process.
Currently, learners must sit through separate theory modules when applying for both types of licences. From next year, the combined module will make life easier (and possibly cheaper!) for new drivers, especially for B2 (motorcycle) and Class D (car) applicants.
Why This Matters to You
Let’s be real – nobody wants to attend the same traffic law class twice. This move reduces redundancy, saves time, and cuts costs for aspiring riders and drivers. Plus, it’s a win for Malaysia’s road safety awareness, as the module will be more comprehensive and standardised.
While you're at it, if you're planning to upgrade your ride, this is the perfect time to sell your car online with Motorist Malaysia. Whether you want to sell a used car, scrap a car, or simply get a free car valuation, Motorist makes it easy and fast.
What Else Should You Know?
The new module will still cover essential topics like:
Malaysia petrol price trends
Insurance Malaysia regulations
Traffic camera Malaysia awareness
General road ethics and insurance kereta basics
Learners can expect a more engaging experience, and instructors will benefit too by cutting down duplicated sessions.
