BYD Atto 3 Facelift Spotted in China Before Launch

The 2025 BYD Atto 3 facelift was spotted right before its market launch, showcasing an updated exterior and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS). These spyshots surfaced on CarNewsChina, and they’ve stated that the facelifted model looks nearly identical to the leaks from the Chinese government fillings last month.

The facelifted Atto 3 features a minor redesign for the exterior. The new front end features a sportier bumper with a more angular design on the air intake. Going to the rear, it also gets a new rear bumper that has a similar angular design as well.



The roof spoiler also gets some love as there’s a new shape along with two vertical tail lights that resemble quotation marks. Looking from the side, there’s new chroma platings and blacked out rear pillars, making it look sharper than the outgoing model. There’s also new alloy wheels with even more covering than before for better aerodynamics and efficiency.

According to the leaks, there’s also a new camera hole on the front bumper, indicating that ADAS will finally be available on the new Atto 3. In addition to the refresh, BYD has also added a new beige colour option, which can be seen in the spyshots.

We’re curious as to what will change in the interior, but the spyshots didn’t show much at all. That aside, do expect some minor quality of life changes. 

Powertrain and battery options are expected to remain the same as the current model, with 204HP and 310Nm of torque from a single electric motor up front, paired with a 420km range. The dimensions are retained too at 4455/1875/1615 mm with a wheelbase of 2720 mm. 

Pricing-wise, expect the 2025 Atto 3 to retain its RM149,800 asking, though it may receive a minor price hike from the addition of ADAS capabilities.
