Large Goods Vehicles Banned on Roads During Chinese New Year
A goods vehicle road ban will be implemented nationwide during Chinese New Year in efforts to reduce congestion and accidents on the road.
As per usual, the Transport Minister said that the annual ban on these vehicles will be enforced during the start and end of the festive season, which are Jan 27th to 28th and Feb 1st and 2nd.
There are also 3 categories with different ban periods. Category 1 is a complete ban, 2 is a ban from midnight to 6am, and 3 is a ban on construction vehicles from 6am to 6pm.
This ban will be in tandem with Op Selamat 23, where PDRM and JSPT will be enforcing the streets to reduce driving speeds and accidents during Jan 28th to Feb 2.
