Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad (KTMB) is making travel during the Chinese New Year more convenient by introducing two additional Electric Train Service (ETS) trains on the popular KL Sentral-Padang Besar route. According to a statement released by KTMB, tickets are on sale as of today. Travelers can purchase tickets for journeys between January 17 and February 16, a crucial period for holiday travel.

The additional trains will operate for 19 days, providing 630 seats daily, including premium business-class facilities. In total, 11,970 seats will be made available, offering more options for passengers traveling to celebrate the festive season with their loved ones.

The schedule for the added trains is designed to cater to peak travel times. The southbound train will depart KL Sentral at 5:00 p.m., reaching Padang Besar at 10:20 p.m. Meanwhile, the northbound service will leave Padang Besar at 11:05 a.m. and arrive at KL Sentral by 4:30 p.m. This timetable allows travelers to optimize their travel schedules while enjoying the comfort and efficiency of the ETS.

Tickets are available for purchase through KTMB’s cashless platforms, including its official website at www.ktmb.com.my and the KTM Integrated Ticketing System (KITS) mobile app. KTMB also encourages passengers to stay updated through its official social media channels or by contacting their Call Centre at 03-9779 1200 for further assistance.
