Proton eMas 7 EV has Reached Over 2500 Bookings
Proton New Energy Technology (Pro-Net) has reported that the Proton eMas 7 EV, launched on December 16, has garnered over 2,500 bookings to date. The electric SUV is available in two variants: the Prime, priced at RM109,800, and the Premium, at RM123,800, both prices being on-the-road without insurance.
There's an early bird RM4,000 discount for the first 3,000 buyers, reducing the Prime's price to RM105,800 and the Premium's to RM119,800. Additionally, Proton offers a launch package worth RM8,000, which includes a free 7kW home charger valued at RM1,500, a V2L adaptor worth RM500, a five-year unlimited data package worth RM1,800, a trade-in rebate of RM1,200, and a special 1.98% interest rate from Proton Commerce, which totals around RM3,000 in savings.
The eMas 7 is powered by a front-mounted electric motor delivering 218 PS (160 kW) and 320 Nm of torque, allowing it to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.9 seconds and a top speed of 175 km/h. The Prime variant features a 49.52 kWh battery, offering a WLTP-rated range of 345 km, while the Premium comes with a 60.22 kWh battery, extending the range to 410 km.
Charging capabilities include support for 11 kW AC charging, with the Prime requiring 4.9 hours for a full charge and the Premium 6.1 hours. For DC fast charging, the Prime can handle up to 80 kW, and the Premium up to 100 kW, allowing both variants to charge from 30% to 80% state of charge in approximately 20 minutes.
