Located in the town of Sunway City, Perak, the Lost World of Tambun has a lot to offer. There’s the main water and dry theme park along with a separate hot spring and night park session, though you need to buy the tickets separately. There’s a ton of fun rides, and the hot springs really hit the spot. The night park has the entire place illuminated with an amazing array of colours with some pretty crazy performances like fire breathing tricks. For the kids, there’s also a petting zoo available where you can hold some animals.

Cameron Highlands is often overlooked due to Genting just being more accessible for many, but I assure you this place is worth coming as it offers a cooler climate, scenic landscapes, tea plantations, and strawberry farms. Get yourself a nice glamping spot and go for some fun at the Sheep Santuary, Time Tunnel and the beautiful Flora Park. If you’re the adventurous type then go pitch your tent at Taman Eko Rimba Sungai Pauh, and then go trekking at the Mossy Forest.

Like Cameron Highlands, Pulau Tioman is constantly overshadowed by places like Langkawi and Pangkor. However, it’s a hidden gem that people should come and experience. The tropical paradise known for its crystal-clear waters, coral reefs, and beautiful beaches. Go diving or snorkelling and witness thousands of tropical fish and corals, you might even see sea turtles if you’re lucky! If those aren’t your cup of tea, then why not go kayaking or surfing around the pristine waters of Tioman?

4. Sarawak Wetlands Park, Sarawak

Wildlife Cruise Kuching Wetlands Santubong 3

If you’re planning to go to East Malaysia, this is a must go place. Located in Kuching, this eco-friendly destination offers scenic mangrove landscapes, wildlife spotting, and beautiful natural scenery. It’s a lesser known location compared to Sarawak’s larger national parks like Bako and Gunung Mulu but its scenery and wildlife is equally as stunning. You can walk in the park by yourself or have a tour on a boat, where you can go during morning or evening times. It's gonna cost quite a bit though but it's worth it, because you’ll have the chance to see the adorable Irrawaddy Dolphins and Proboscis Monkeys in their natural habitat.

Best thing to do is to rent a car and drive through these scenic roads, as well as stop by at Kundasang Vegetable Market.
