50% Traffic Summons Reduction Under the MADANI One-Year Programme
The Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) plans to introduce a significant reduction of up to 50 percent in traffic fines under the MADANI One-Year Program. This initiative is scheduled to occur from December 8 to 10 at the National Stadium Bukit Jalil grounds.
As per Bernama, Datuk Mohd Azman Ahmad Sapri, Director of Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department Bukit Aman, specified that this reduction won't cover specific traffic violations in 2023. These exclusions encompass summonses related to accidents, ongoing court cases with arrest warrants or in a trial, and offences that cannot be resolved with fines.
Sapri outlined that payments for summonses can only be made at the inspection and traffic summons payment counters situated at the National Stadium Bukit Jalil grounds. These counters will operate from 9 am to 4 pm on December 8 (Friday) and from 9 am to 6 pm on December 9 and 10 (Saturday and Sunday). He stressed the importance of early checking of summonses via the MyBayar PDRM portal and application to facilitate the payment procedure and prevent congestion at the payment counters.
