16 LRT Stations Closed from Kelana Jaya to Ampang Park for Repair Works

The stations will be closed from today (9 November) till 15 November, while stations still open have shorter opening hours.

If you tried to get on the LRT anywhere between Kelana Jaya to Ampang Park today, you would have realised that the station is closed. Rapid KL announced the closure of 16 stations that will be going through repair work on the line to clarify an issue with the system that was discovered on Saturday morning (5 November).

The issue in question revolves around a malfunction in the Automatic Train Control (ATC) system and RapidKL is working with Canadian OEM supplier Thales Group to investigate and ensure it does not reoccur.

Closures start from Kelana Jaya station all the way to Ampang Park station. Trains will turn back at Damai station towards Gombak station while trains at Subang station will head back towards Putra Heights. 

Stations still in operation will be closed at 11 pm daily.

To aid commuters with travel in the area, RapidKL will have free bus services between various locations. These include routes between the following LRT stations:

• Ara Damansara - Pasar Seni
• Ara Damansara - Kelana Jaya
• Kelana Jaya - Pasar Seni
• Pasar Seni - Masjid Jamek
• Masjid Jamek - Damai
