Malaysia Popular Attractions Cheap Parking Guide: Menara Kuala Lumpur

Paying the iconic Menara Kuala Lumpur a visit but have no idea where you should park? We got you covered in this latest edition of the Popular Attractions Cheap Parking Guide series!

Menara Kuala Lumpur is probably the second most distinctive feature of Kuala Lumpur's skyline, only behind the Petronas Twin Towers. It saw about 3,000 visitors daily back in 2019 and the numbers are expected to have risen since.

Unfortunately, an increased number of visitors does lead to an increased number of vehicles which would then result in lesser available parking lots for you. Fret not though, today Motorist will reveal the best and cheapest parking spots you can find around the area!

Street Parking

Street Parking near Menara KL is mostly concentrated along Tengkat Tong Shin and Jalan Sahabat which are decently priced and free on holidays. It might also be a good destination if you're looking to add Bukit Bintang and Berjaya Times Square into your itinerary. However we would advice you to either head over after 6pm from Mondays to Saturdays or make a visit on a Sunday to avoid the 2 hour maximum stay cap in place. 

If Masjid India is part of your plans, you might be better off parking at Jalan Leboh Ampang, at the same rate. Take note that all of the mentioned street parking comes with a 15 minute walk to Menara KL.

Carparks

There are a variety of carparks in the area. Menara's parking lots are honestly decent, with their indoor lots charging a flat rate of RM5 after 6pm and their outdoor lots having a price cap of RM8.50. However, parking is only for visitors! 

Menara UMW's parking lot nearby is slightly better at RM4 flat rate from 6pm onwards on weekdays and from 7am to 6pm on Saturdays. It is however closed on Sundays. The Weld across the street however, has an amazing all day flat rate of RM2 on Sundays.
